The Drift of Our Elders – Limited Edition Indigenous Art Throw by Taylor‑Lee (Ochre Sisters)

Celebrate culture, connection, and the passing down of knowledge with The Drift of Our Elders, a limited-edition collaboration between Good Throw Co and Indigenous artist Taylor‑Lee (Ochre Sisters).

The Story Behind the Art
This piece is inspired by the continuous flow of knowledge, culture, and tradition. At the base of the artwork, elders stand side by side, guiding an abundant river of wisdom that flows across the piece. The central sacred yarning circle represents discussion, sharing, and building enriched relationships. Surrounding the circle, children, women, men, and elders gather to tell stories of the land, sea, and sky, symbolised through palm trees, turtles, and the moon. The colours, textures, and ochre tones all come together to illustrate the rich narrative of The Drift of Our Elders.

Versatile & Functional
Generously sized at 2.2 m × 1.6 m, this throw is perfect for:

  • Picnic rug – beach or park

  • Bed throw – add warmth or refresh your décor

  • Lounge throw – add texture, vibrancy, or cosy warmth

  • Beach towel – dry off after a swim

  • Blanket – snuggle up by the fire or for movie nights

  • Tablecloth – decorate your dining table

  • Wall tapestry – showcase as beautiful Indigenous art

Sustainable & Care
Made from 100% recycled cotton, this throw is soft, durable, and eco-conscious. Hand wash or cold gentle machine wash only. Do not tumble dry. Take care with jewellery or rough surfaces, as woven threads may pull.
